Ladies, it is cold outside. But inside you can warm up with some soul-soothing holiday-inspired drinks that go beyond the typical hot cup of cocoa. Here are eight fall and winter drink recipes to get you through the holiday season and the cold season.

1 Pumpkin Pie Spiced Turmeric Latte

Bring ј cup of water, Ѕ teaspoon of turmeric, Ѕ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice and a pinch of black pepper to a boil. Allow it to simmer for a minute. Add 1/4 cup of pumpkin puree, 1-1/2 cups of almond milk, and 1 tablespoon of either pure maple syrup or raw honey into your blender.

Pulse it until it becomes frothy, then add it to the spice-infused water. Heat until warm and then pour into mugs. Sprinkle gently with turmeric and pumpkin pie spice before serving.

2 Mint White Hot Chocolate

Fill a large pot with 2 cups of milk and 2 cups of Half & Half. Heat over medium heat but do not allow it to boil. Then stir in 1 12-ounce bag of white chocolate chips.

Keep stirring until the chocolate melts completely and the mixture becomes creamy. Next, stir in 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a few drops of green food coloring. Pour into mugs and top with marshmallows.

3 Vanilla Cranberry Mimosa

In a cocktail shaker, mix 1 1/2 ounces of vanilla-flavored vodka, and 1/2 cup of cranberry juice. Shake it up as vigorously as you can and then strain into a champagne flute. Fill the glass the rest of the way with beautifully sparkling wine. Garnish with fresh cranberries if desired.

4 Coconut Vanilla Steamer

If you want this winter drink to have alcohol in it, add 1/2 ounces of spiced rum to each of two mugs, and if not simply omit it. Next, add 1/2 cup of whole milk, Ѕ cup of canned coconut milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of coconut extract to a small saucepan.

Slice 1 vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the paste. Add both the paste from the vanilla bean and the bean itself to the milk. Simmer over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and strain out the vanilla bean.

Using a frother, froth up the milk for a minute, then evenly pour the milky mixture into your mugs. Use a spoon to hold the froth back and then spoon it on top of each cup. Garnish with toasted coconut flakes.
