21 What can you bring to the company? 

This question allows you to explain what makes you different from all other candidates and how you will be helpful in this particular company. If you are asked how you can help the organization, you will have an excellent opportunity to convince the interviewer why you are the best candidate for this job. 

Possible answers to “What can you bring to the company?”:

“I will bring my unique vision to your company. I have experience in many areas related to the current goals of the company, including the expansion of international sales. For example, I helped improve international sales at a previous company by over 25%. My experience in sales and my ability to plan will help accelerate this growth.”

Tips for answering the question “What can you bring to the company?”:

  • Focus your answers on the job you are applying for. Your examples must be specific enough to show the hiring manager that your competencies fit.
  • Research the company before the interview to familiarize yourself with the company’s mission. Try to identify the company’s specific needs and then answer with examples of why your education, skills, accomplishments, and experience will make you an asset to the employer by meeting those needs. 
  • When you answer, compare your goals with the company for a few minutes. 
  • Be prepared to mention what you have achieved in other positions. 

What mistakes should not be made when answering the question “What can you bring to the company?”:

  • Letting your ego get in the way. Even if you want to show the company how much you can contribute, you shouldn’t make it look like you are the only way to achieve its goals. 
  • Sharing examples that are not relevant to work.
