E.L. James Is Working on a New Fifty Shades Book
Ladies, I have huge news for you and trust me, you are going to need to sit down for it: E.L. James just confirmed that there is going to be a new Fifty Shades book. If you have read her previous novels from cover-to-cover over-and-over, you will be as excited as I am for the next installment in this steamy series. I can’t get enough of this hot couple with their very (ahem) healthy love life.
Originally planned to be a trilogy, E. L. James rode the astronomical success of the books to release a fourth book from the perspective of the brooding Christian Grey in 2015 and now, she has shared with the world via Facebook an excerpt from another book from his grey eyes.
Fifty Shades Darker from Christian’s Point of View
“Fifty Shades Darker from Christian’s Point of View” (a tentative title) will be released sometime in 2017. So maybe we can read the other books a few more times in anticipation. Let’s be real, they will never get old.
So to what do we owe the pleasure of the surprise announcement? E.L. James told her loyal fans that the excerpt was released in honor of Ana’s 27th birthday and to help fans along while they wait for more trailers for the upcoming movie based on the trilogy’s second book, “Fifty Shades Darker”.
The excerpt can be found on E.L. James’ Facebook page. However, I must warn you to not read it in the company of… well, anyone. I have a feeling your cheeks will flush as much as ours did and you don’t want to explain why to curious bystanders. Suffice to say, I am extremely anxious to get my hands of the new book but until then, I will watch the trailers for the movie based on the same story, only from Anastasia’s point of view.
February of 2017
The next movie has finally started filming and will be released in February of 2017 and promises to be just as sexy, if not sexier, than the first movie. Once again starring Dakota Johnson and James Dornan as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, the movie was up in the air following the poor reviews of the first movie but was finally green lighted much to the delight of fans.
All of the cast is returning along with the gorgeous Kim Basinger who will be playing Mrs. Robinson, the older vixen who taught Christian Grey everything he knows. We can’t wait to see the chemistry between all of the characters.

So, while it is still entirely too far away, 2017 will bring us two spicy gifts from the Fifty Shades franchise: another page-turning book from the tortured soul of Christian Grey and a scintillating movie on the big screen where we can see the steamy scenes played out before our hungry eyes.
E.L. James, all we can say is ‘thank you.’ Please, keep bringing us more of your novels so we can escape our lives and pretend to be Ana for just a few minutes.
