3. Microwave Cereal Bars
Getting kids involved in the kitchen is a great way to teach them important skills while spending quality time together. And what better way to get them excited than with a fun and easy marshmallow treat? This recipe is perfect for little ones to help out with and allows for endless customization with add-ons of your choice.
To make these cereal bars, all you need is 1 1/2 cups of cereal, 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows, 3 tablespoons of butterscotch chips, and 1 teaspoon of butter. Combine all the ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl that you have first sprayed with cooking spray. Microwave for 45 seconds, then mix everything together.
While the mixture is still warm, shape it with your hands into little rectangles. Top them off with your choice of add-ons, such as sprinkles, chocolate chips, or even more marshmallows. Let the bars cool before eating, though, to allow them to set properly.
