5 Signs You Are Ready to Take the Next Step
Whether you feel stuck in a relationship, career, hobby, or the entire life, it may be hard to recognize when to take that step forward. You are holding on to many things, believing this is the right way. You are afraid to move on and choose to stay where you are.
Changes are dreadful. They often involve pain, mistakes, failures, regret, frustration, making you live an ordinary life with no hope of change. Take a look at the following signs to learn when you should take your next step in life.
1 Expiration date has come
Everything in life has an expiration date, not only the food you eat. The relationships, friendships, career, the city you live in, and even your life have expiration dates. If your job is a reason you are feeling down, why not change your attitude toward it? Or maybe it is time to try another career path?
If you are in a toxic relationship, it is time for you to finally ditch it. Time is precious and you have probably wasted so much time on your unhealthy relationship. The same goes for friendships and other types of relationships. If you feel like an expiration date has come, get rid of it and move on.
2 You do not want to hold on to people anymore
If you have been holding on to people who have no desire to stay in your life for a long while, you might eventually realize you are better off without them. No matter how much you want them to stay, they do not want to. Let them go. Free yourself of negative feelings, worries, and stress. You can’t make them love or respect you.
3 You are tired of constantly looking back
In other words, you are tired of living in the past. You are tired of dwelling on your mistakes. You feel like you are ready to forgive yourself and others regardless of what they did. You want to leave your regrets today and wake up the next morning with a grateful mind.
The wonderful news is that you are able to do it. You are able to live in the present moment. You are ready to take the next step and focus on the present moment. Focus on the things you have never noticed before.

4 You ignore the expectations
I hate expectations. If you are reading my article, chances are you hate them too. Living up to the expectations – be they someone else’s or yours – is the road to nowhere. People have a tendency to set too high expectations for themselves and others. This is where insecurities, doubts, fears, and hatred thrive and feast.
You do not need anyone’s approval and you do not have to please anyone, including your ego. It is time to eliminate expectations from your life to feel a lot happier and less stressed. Stop setting too high expectations for other people as well.
5 You look beyond your doubts
Just like positive affirmations, doubts have enormous power. Doubts breed negativity, anxiety, low self-worth, and fears. They prevent you from achieving your goals and living the life you want. You have often given up on yourself because of doubts, but now is the time to look beyond them.
Declutter your mind and throw away all the doubts settled here. Take advantage of positive affirmations instead. Believe in yourself. Believe in your strong will-power. You are capable of doing anything a human being can do. You are capable of being happy. Simply allow yourself to be who you want to be.
