12. Avocado Ranch Dressing

The classic sour-milk ranch sauce will become healthier if you add avocado, rich in healthy fats, to yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Great for dressing salads and as a dip with vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon dijon or stone-ground mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, basil, or dill

Directions:

To make this salad dressing, blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap, place it directly on top of the dressing, and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using. Chill the sauce well before serving.
