12. Avocado Ranch Dressing
Photo credit: pinterest.comThe classic sour-milk ranch sauce will become healthier if you add avocado, rich in healthy fats, to yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Great for dressing salads and as a dip with vegetables.
Ingredients:
- 1 avocado
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon dijon or stone-ground mustard
- 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, basil, or dill
Directions:
To make this salad dressing, blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap, place it directly on top of the dressing, and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using. Chill the sauce well before serving.
