13. Chili Almond Dressing

This dressing is very similar to the one found at Whole Foods salad bar, only this dressing is creamier, spicier, and packed with even more flavors and healthy fats.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup natural almond butter, no sugar added
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pitted medjool date
  • 1 small chili pepper
  • ⅓ cup water

Directions:

To make this salad dressing, blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap, place it directly on top of the dressing, and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using. Chill the sauce well before serving.
