13. Chili Almond Dressing
Photo credit: pinterest.comThis dressing is very similar to the one found at Whole Foods salad bar, only this dressing is creamier, spicier, and packed with even more flavors and healthy fats.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup natural almond butter, no sugar added
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium tamari or soy sauce
- 1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1 pitted medjool date
- 1 small chili pepper
- ⅓ cup water
Directions:
To make this salad dressing, blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap, place it directly on top of the dressing, and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using. Chill the sauce well before serving.
