In less time than it takes for you to decide on a flavor you want to take home, you can make your own salad dressing with wholesome ingredients.

Here are seven easy salad dressing recipes that you can make in a flash that will have you gobbling up all your salad tonight.

1 Creamy Dreamy Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of grainy mustard, preferably Dijon
  • 1 tablespoon of champagne vinegar
  • 1-2 tablespoons of light mayonnaise
  • a pinch each of salt and sugar
  • fresh ground paper, to taste

Directions:

Using a whisk, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper and sugar until combined. Then add the vinegar, whisking until smooth.

2 Lemon Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • Pepper, to taste

Directions:

Whisk all ingredients together except the olive oil until well combined. Then gradually whisk in the olive oil.

3 Classic Ranch Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • pinch of garlic powder

Directions:

Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and creamy.

4 Green Goddess

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream
  • 1/4 cup of fresh chopped parsley
  • juice of 1/4 lemon
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of chopped tarragon
  • 3 anchovies
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Blend all ingredients except for the salt and pepper in your blender until it reaches a creamy and smooth texture. Season with salt and pepper.

5 Carrot Ginger Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1 chopped carrot, boiled until soft
  • 1/4 cup of cooking water from boiled carrot
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of peeled and chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • salt, to taste

Directions:

Take the boiled carrot pieces and the reserved water and puree with the remaining ingredients in your blender. It will have a bit of a chunky texture but once everything is blended through, it is ready.

6 Creamy Caper Herb Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
  • 1 minced shallot
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped capers
  • 1 tablespoon of minced chives
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of tarragon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil

Directions:

Whisk all ingredients except the olive oil together. Then gradually add in the olive oil and whisk until creamy.

7 Peanut Lime Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of peeled and chopped ginger
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of raw organic honey

Directions:

Blend all ingredients in your blender until combined.
